BeHear® ACCESS Hearing Amplifier

BeHear® ACCESS is a stylish personal hearing device for people with mild to moderate hearing loss, or for those that need enhanced hearing in specific situations.

While it looks and functions like a Bluetooth® stereo headset, BeHear ACCESS also includes fully customizable hearing amplification and noise reduction for live conversations, mobile phone calls, music play, and ambient sounds. It clarifies speech (and if needed during mobile phone calls, slows it down!), and enhances music. The headset also includes two telecoil receivers to deliver optimal sound in locations outfitted with induction loop technology. This product overcomes the stigma, expense, and limited functionality of a traditional hearing aid by combining advanced hearing technology and consumer electronics to put you in charge of your own hearing.

Simple, Built-in, Self-Administered Hearing Assessment
A free application (downloadable from Google Play or Apple Store) that runs on your smartphone can be used to administer a simple hearing assessment. Using the assessment results, the product automatically adjusts voice and audio input controls to suit your hearing levels, creating various profiles based on the listening environment (indoors/outdoors, crowded/sparse, etc.). You can fine tune these profiles at any time using a simple procedure.

Once you have performed the hearing assessment and applied the results to the headset (even using someone else’s smartphone), you no longer need the smartphone in order to benefit from enhanced ambient hearing. The headset itself includes built-in control buttons that allow you to use it autonomously. So, if you want to use the device for ambient hearing only (not mobile phone calls or audio streaming from a phone), you do not need a smartphone.

Increase Your Hearing Comprehension on the Phone
Hearing comprehension on your mobile phone tends to degenerate when listening to “fast talkers” and foreign languages. It is further complicated due to the lack of the visual cues provided by body language. Deciphering recorded messages on your phone is also a challenge. BeHear employs a technology that can help. It’s called EasyListen™, and works real-time to dynamically slow down incoming speech, whether in a live phone conversation or from a recorded message, making it more natural and understandable while maintaining a natural conversation flow.

Hearing Well in Noisy, Public Places
Induction Loop Systems transmit wireless audio input via a magnetic field to telecoil (T-coil) receivers. In an induction loop system there is no interference, no reverberation, no background noise, just the original signal transmitted directly from the input, whether that is the microphone on a podium, the audio system in a theater, the microphone the cashier is speaking into at the bank, or the music from the concert hall stage. This closed system provides people, especially those with hearing loss, an excellent way to hear voice and audio signals clearly, even in noisy places or when the sound source is far away. The T-coils in BeHear ACCESS can be activated wherever a loop system is installed. The wearer simply chooses either the T-Coil Exclusive or T-Coil Transparent mode.

Designed for Usability, Comfort and Day-Long Use
BeHear features a lightweight neck loop design with 24 combinations of comfortable silicone ear buds and hooks to suit your personal anatomy and ensure a great fit. Wear the BeHear neck loop all day, and then charge the long-life battery while you sleep. The battery, which recharges conveniently in a magnetized charging cradle, will last more than 13 hours in hearing mode. During the day, when not in use, keep the headset secure around your neck using the earbud magnets. Never worry about missing out as the headset vibrates to indicate incoming calls.
