The Vision Buddy Can Enhance Your Daily Life
Vision Buddy is designed to be the simplest device out there to assist visually impaired individuals watching TV, as well as be able to perform simple day to day tasks.
You catch your favorite TV programs with enhanced image quality, and with the ability to zoom in and out. Independently watch your surroundings, see faces clearly and enjoy your hobbies again.
You are able to read books with the ability to zoom in and out or use built-in OCR to read aloud text from your favorite books, news paper and magazines.
Use the built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature to have Vision Buddy automatically read aloud your favorite books, newspaper, medicine labels, restaurant menu, etc. Zoom in (up to 10x) and out as per your needs while watching HD quality video with real-time image correction.

Will the Vision Buddy work as electronic glasses for the visually impaired?
Many people are rightfully excited at the potential of the Vision Buddy, and wonder if they can be used as a pair of “e-glasses”. While the Vision Buddy provides useful magnification for those with visual impairments, it should not be used while walking, driving, or moving about the house. We recommend using the device while stationary and in a safe location.
Is the Vision Buddy a VR headset?
The Vision Buddy is not a traditional virtual reality device, as it does not come with games or built-in media. You can watch media with it (like many VR headsets), but this device is designed to help you magnify things like your television, computer, or items around the home.
Are there grants or funding sources available to help those with macular degeneration purchase the Vision Buddy?
This depends on your unique situation. For example, veterans may be entitled to government assistance for low vision aids.
Those with visual impairments who are currently employed or seeking work may receive assistance from government agencies in certain instances.
