Maltron keyboards for Windows are specifically designed and shaped to fit the easy movements of hands, fingers and thumbs. These fully ergonomic two handed keyboards provide straight wrists and minimal palms down reduce strain in the wrists, arms, shoulders and neck.
The Maltron Dual Hand 3D Ergonomic Keyboard is available in several models. Choose from a black or grey color, without or without a trackball, or the following series and layouts. Current models available are for Windows. Please contact us for details on the Mac version.
QWERTY keyboard layout: QWERTY is the most common modern-day keyboard layout for Latin script. The name comes from reading the first six keys appearing on the top left letter row of the keyboard QWERTY from left to right.
Dvorak keyboard layout: Dvorak proponents indicate the Dvorak layout uses less finger motion and reduces errors compared to the standard QWERTY keyboard. This reduction in finger distance traveled is claimed to permit faster rates of typing while reducing repetitive strain injuries.
Maltron keyboard layout: The Maltron letter layout is based on extensive frequency of use analysis completed by Maltron, and places the most used letters and functions where the fingers and thumbs may easily and comfortably reach them.
L90 series layout: 90 series keyboards are an updated layout design from the older 89 design, and are recommended for new Maltron users as the layout most closely resembles the conventional keyboard you will be familiar with. All of our keyboards are now only available with a USB connector. Number positions are more like the conventional flat keyboard you will know, except for the escape key which is in the central number area.
L89 series layout: 89 series keyboards have an older layout design. They are recommended for those who have used an 89 series Maltron keyboard before and wish to avoid learning the slightly different layout of a 90 series keyboard. The 89 series was optionally available with a PS/2 connector (known as J89) or USB connector (known as L89). It is now only available with USB.
