Scan and read - add a scanner to your computer and Guide will read your letters, bank statements, newspaper, magazine or any printed document back to you.
Email - send, receive, edit, forward, save and print emails using a simple and easy to understand interface. Emails will be downloaded automatically and displayed in a list where you can choose which ones to read either in large print or listen to them using synthetic speech.
Word processing - write, edit, save, retrieve, spell check and format your documents and letters. You can save your documents and letters into different formats including Microsoft Word, Rich text, plain text, audio (MP3) or print a hard copy if you have a printer.
Surf the web - Guide has a simple and easy to use web browser to help you navigate round the world wide web. Whether you want to catch up on today's news, do some shopping or just browse Guide will make it simple and easy. Move around the page using the arrow keys or jump around the page to the information you want by jumping to the next heading or link.
Typing tutor and keyboard practice - there is a key describer mode to help you understand the layout of the keyboard by echoing your key presses. Guide also has a built-in typing tutor which helps you improve your typing skills and make using a keyboard easier and faster.
Address Book - you can store postal addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses for all your friends, family and other contacts in the address book. Easily search the address book to send emails, letters or make a phone call. You can even print addresses directly onto envelopes.
Play Audio CD or MP3 - insert a music CD into you computer and Guide will automatically download the CD title, artist name and track listing of the CD. Skype telephone calls - Guide enables you to make free calls over the internet using Skype. Skype is a well known internet call system where you can use your computer's microphone, speakers and internet connection to make calls to other people using Skype for free.
